Mr Stanley Hack - First Honorary Member
SAIA AGM
Mr Stanley Hack (98) was the first person to receive Honorary Life Membership of SAIA at this year’s AGM.
Mr Hack is the longest serving ambassador of the auction profession and founding member of SAIA. He started his illustrious career in 1935 at the auction house of Richard Currie, when he was only 16. He joined Burchmore's in 1966, where he took over the business in 1980. He still holds the record for the longest continuous auction, selling hail-damaged cars for 10 consecutive days.
Although he retired in 1998, he is still actively interested in the auction world.
Congratulations Mr Hack!
